Hello,

A group of friends and myself are planning on going to Rochelle, IL next Friday for a day of Rail fanning. Where is the UP currently working on inserting concrete ties? Just curious on whether to try to spend some time trying to find where they are working and get some shots of the tie installation. Any replies would be appreciated,

I think they are done for the year on concrete ties.

They are working west from Global 3 to Clinton. Not sure what days off, but they have been working the last few days.

We were at Rochelle this morning. The stretch from Creston to Rochelle still awaits the replacement--welded rail is along the north track through there, right up to the diamond.
