Kingman Canyon, AZ....
Author: NscaleMike

My first visit to this very scenic locale! Only 90 minutes from Vegas...only problem was the crappy overcast/hazy weather...but with is reasonable proximity to where I live...I will visit again...Compared to the LA&SL, where I live, I am lucky sometimes to see 3-4 trains....when I am out... in a 9hr period I saw at least 40 trains!

All 3 images are of westbound trains...approximately MP 518.

Nice shots Mike. Maybe we can plan a trip down there in October when it's a bit cooler and the sun is better.

Don't knock the clouds, they added some nice touches to a few of the shots. They might have even helped hold the heat down a degree or two.

Mike:
I'm just a little jealous...you got to play on the doorstep of God's Country. I'm hoping to get that way next weekend.

Nice shots Mike! The monsoon clouds make it worthwhile to brave the heat.

Yeah...it did cool down a bit...it was only in the eighties when I got there..but by the time the storm passed it was in the low seventies...
