Western Railroad Discussion > Kingman Canyon, AZ....Date: 07/23/07 11:36 Kingman Canyon, AZ.... Author: NscaleMike My first visit to this very scenic locale! Only 90 minutes from Vegas...only problem was the crappy overcast/hazy weather...but with is reasonable proximity to where I live...I will visit again...Compared to the LA&SL, where I live, I am lucky sometimes to see 3-4 trains....when I am out... in a 9hr period I saw at least 40 trains!
All 3 images are of westbound trains...approximately MP 518. Date: 07/23/07 11:39 Re: Kingman Canyon, AZ.... Author: mojaveflyer Nice stuff! Thanks for posting them...

Great shots showing the monsoonal cloud formations - Thanks a bunch for sharing them! Bob ATSF100WEST......Out Date: 07/23/07 16:33 Re: Kingman Canyon, AZ.... Author: n6nvr Don't knock the clouds, they added some nice touches to a few of the shots. They might have even helped hold the heat down a degree or two.

I'm just a little jealous...you got to play on the doorstep of God's Country. I'm hoping to get that way next weekend. —Mac Date: 07/23/07 20:48 Re: Kingman Canyon, AZ.... Author: RustyRayls Nice shots Mike! The monsoon clouds make it worthwhile to brave the heat.
Date: 07/23/07 21:38 Re: Kingman Canyon, AZ.... Author: NscaleMike Yeah...it did cool down a bit...it was only in the eighties when I got there..but by the time the storm passed it was in the low seventies...
