New Years Preparations At Shawmut Apace
Author: bisbeekid

Preparations are well in hand at Shawmut for the upcoming CombatRailfans New Years party. This weekends work party made short work of cleaning the area and digging out the fire pit. In the background the holidays featured entertainment provides a hint of the excitement to come.

Would love to be there... getting 30 inches of snow today in this part of Eastern Canada. One guy has good taste, wearing a Green Bay Packers sweat..

What a motley crew, You need to get PA a real beer. I was hoping to make it this year but I have family obligations. I'll see you at the Wine Waste in Spring.

The campsite is east of Gila Bend, AZ on the UP's Gila Line. If you "Fly To" Shawmut,AZ in Google Earth you will be taken to the area.

I agree with the previous thread, what a crew of misfits! LOL

I will most likely be working and will miss Mel's cooking, among other things, this year.

Some Shawmut views -

1. View of the Shawmut curves. Looking east from a near by hill.
2. Camp Shawmut is off to the right of the head end. View looking west from the same hill mentioned above.
3. EB approaching the west switch at Shawmut.

Be safe and sane!!
