More steam on the way

In 1965 the California Western RR was still pulling some freight with steam when the diesels needed help. Here is the 45 getting ready for a morning run to Willits in June of 65.

Now that I've finished with the series on the DRGW in the sixties, I'll start with the California Western. See more starting this weekend under the steam section of my web site.

Don thats a real nice photo. The soft light really gives it a certain snap. Looking forward to seeing some Northern California stuff.

Don, are you sure about that date? I took photos of the 45 on July 9, 1965, and it had no spark arrestor at that time!
