Looks like I will be in Chatsworth next week.

Short of the 1.5 hour to Cajon, What is there to in that general area?

Road Name, Freqs, Expected Traffic, Etc.

I will most likely go and do Cajon at least one night, but open to anything else!

same timeframe (1.5hr) to Tehachapi from Chatsworth.

Not a heck of a lot... Go over to the West end of Gemco yard at Van Nuys Blvd. between 10 and 1 and you'll see some switching and other trains. Or go a little farther to the City of Burbank station and you'll at least double your chances with both lines combined.

Just went past Chatsworth on thurs on Amtk 775.
Gemco yard had 2 crews at 3:30 pm.

At chatsworth you can see Metrolinks and Amtk to SBA and SLO. Check TT's for times, as trains tend to bunch up at times. The coast starlight trains (11 and 14)can have interesting power, as Amtk uses them to transfer power from OAK to LA and back. Power on 11 on thurs 7/11 was P32-P40-P32.
Coast line (SBA sub) averages 4 road freights a day, sometimes more. Sat AM 2 southbound freights were thru Gaviota around 11am. First had SD-60M, C40, SD-90 w/mixed frt. Right behind it is a lone SD-70 with intermodals. Metrolink dispatches up thru Moorpark on 160.545.
