Palm Springs post rain luck.
Author: SoCalRailFan

Taking a drive with my girlfriend to Palm Spring to geocache we came across some unique weather at Windy Point. so braving the 50+mph winds, sand and rain I climbed the hill for these shots. I'm lucky they turned out at all with the force of the wind and weather. Enjoy!

Good catch to get those shots and I know what you mean about the wind. Hope you had luck on the geocache, whatever that is. Maybe like watching submarine races.?? Smile.

Great series of photos! I do that drive every now and then with the wife, it is quite pleasurable, especially cause I get to watch trains too. Thank you for sharing.

If you look closely in the first photo you can actually see a double rainbow. A second rainbow above the first. Unfortunatley it didn't portray on the camera as my eye saw it.

Great images, what a shame they are ruining the landscape with the windmills, but thats not a reflection on your shots, very nice with the rainbow!

Nice series of photos Dave. That rainbow is unique in that there's not much arch to it. Thanks for braving the wind to get these shots.

Not sure the exact name, but they're just for hauling gravel.
