Who, what, when, why

A who, what, when, and why for those that are really good. My only clue is that it is historically significant.

A standard gauge, narrow firebox engine, with crownbar stayed construction, somewhere in the west.
Perhaps a 4-4-0 built about 1890?
V&T?

Am I getting warm?

It's a firebox--one would hope so, if you stay in there long enough!

I now concur with the thoughts that it's narrow gauge. 19 columns of flues at 2" would mean the crown sheet is about 38-40" wide, so the grate would be about 22" wide, which would be appropriate for a 3 foot gauge engine.

Nope this firebox will never see a flame again.

Some more clues.

Its not in PA and it was once a movie star but it will never see glory again.
