Here are pictures from the Temple, TX, area and along BNSF's Galveston Sub. from my vacation last week.

#1. Amtrak #22 the 'Texas Eagle.'

#2. A loaded coal train heads onto fuel pad #4.

#3. A ex-Santa Fe SD40-2 leads a southbound manifest.

#13. Three BNSF trains wait at the fueling pad.

#14. A southbound BNSF makes its way into Rogers, TX, on BNSF's Galveston Sub.

#15. A northbound BNSF train with a ES44DC waits to depart from the siding at Rogers, TX.

#16. & #17. A empty BNSF rock and empty grain trains depart Buckholts, TX. Both trains had identical power lash-up. A pair of Dash 9-44CW's: A warbonnet on the point and a H2 trailing.

#18. Here's look at the same BNSF southbound manifest that I got at Rogers earlier now making its way south of Cameron, TX.

Great photos as usual. I used to live outside of Temple. I loved chasing between Temple-Caldwell-Hearne. Still a hefty use of searchlight signals along there. Maybe if they resignal that they'll all end up in my yard !!! :P Milano has some near-antique sigs IIRC.
