More UP on the BNSF Transcon??

UP has trackage rights over the Santa Fe from Chicago to KC as a result of the merger. Back in 1995, it was then SP.

EMD plow on that 4188.

BNSF 7647 with the power wedge paint job looks like it is starting to fade already or maybe it's just the light?

Actually I believe the trackage rights given to the SP...now UP between Chicago and KC came before the ATSF-BN merger. On the other hand, the trackage rights between KC and Hutchinson KS came as a result of the ATSF-BN merger. With the addition of the Edelstein connection off the UP Peoria sub...UP runs several trains on the BNSF between KC and Edelstein with a few of these trains continuing on to Chicago via the BNSF.

Look at the class lights on the 2913. I have never seen anything like that. Anyone know anything about them?

Looks as though they were added just to put some light there. The look like ordinary light fixtures to me. You would have to change the bulbs to green ones if you were running a second section (LOL). Original Adlakes' were probably removed for safe keeping or stolen. Those 2900s' were big 4-8-4s' wern't they!

Replacements for the stolen originals....perhaps..check around...
