In rummaging through slides, I found a shot of them the day they arrived from Mpls/Soo and to WC territory at Stevens Point, WI.

Funny, yet odd. We said the same thing that IMRL said in his closing comments. A fair portion of railfans didn't even know what they were.

I was ecstatic.

The headless horseman on 411's plow is the conductor. I chopped his head off for privacy sake and comparison to what they do now safety wise ( vests and all ) to earlier times. Keeps the ribbing down, as he works for the RR yet. 10-08-87 Stevens Point, WI

Lead power in was freshly painted (from Wilson) GP35M WC 4005.
