They have had wrecks at Lelia lake before. I remember coal trains have wrecked there.

I'm not real familure with the transcon ease of new mexico.Is this the transcon?

No, its on the old FW&D between Amarillo and Wichita Falls.

There was a big-'un at about this location about 10-12 years ago
that wasted a couple of warbonnet diesels.

There was also a head- on a few years ago (2003?) between a stack train and a coal train at Clarendon TX. This wreck totalled C44-9W 4385 and SD70MAC 8876
