Any pictures of this machine, loaded on a flat car (HTTX 93775), in transist would be appreciated. Car is supposed to leave Louisville today on NS train 112 for KC and be handed over to UP for the rest of the trip to Caltrain. I would expect it to be in KC by this weekend. Date: 02/25/09 13:37 Re: Looking for our equipment Author: CIT1023 This machine looks like what we call in the UK a Tamping Machine especially as the owning company appears to be Plasser. The machine is used to tamp the ballast between the ties and push it under the ties to prevent dips in the track, which could lead to broken rails if not attended to. Hope this helps
