Anybody ever stumble over a ROC on BNSF?

What does ROC mean when you're speaking BNSF?

I can't remember ever seeing that abbreviation before.

TIA for the translation.

"Resource Operation Center"... Crisis Central for the BNSF Police, located in a room next to the Dispatcher's Office in Ft Worthless, TX. If you call their '800' number, it's answered there.

ROC's are the Regional Operating Centers. In the west, San Bernardino is the ROC for all of California and some of Arizona. There are dispatchers and many planners...

The NOC is the Network Operation Center. This is Fort Worth; Dispatchers, Locomotive Desk,Police...

UP had it long before BN did, UP calls it Response Management Communications Center,m (RMCC) Originally it was Rick Management Communications Center. I was a Comm. Specialist there in the late 90's (before going into Train service in Chicago with UP). I remember when BNSF and CSXT came over to look over things and see how we did things when they were developing their own centers.

In all fairness to those SP guys who refuse to believe the SP is a fallen flag, RMCC started as a regional communications center for the SP Police in El Paso, TX. After the Rio Grande Bought the SP and re-named themselves, they moved RMCC to Denver and made it a system wide entity. When UP took over SP it was moved to ST. Louis until UP pulled UP Tech and NCSC out or there, now RMCC is in Omaha (Not at HDC however).

ROCC is the "police center" located in both fort worthless texass and toopeeka kansass

ROC's are "regional operations centers" where train dispatchers toil away in kansas city kansass, spring texass, and san bernardino kalifornia.
