Can anyone tell how the rail traffic is holding up thru Calmar, IA after the take over by the C.P. thanks

This is the line that runs between Mason City and Marquette, right? I would imagine that traffic is down somewhat, because the Huron-Chicago trains that formerly used it now operate via Winona and LaCrosse, Wis. Whether O/D traffic from the Mason City area still goes that way is something the locals will have to tell you, though.

Traffic is actually decent on the Mason City Sub. With most of the Ethanol plants back online following the Verasun bankruptcy and sale, there is usually one loaded and one empty Ethanol train most days, plus a manifest each way.

And now that the rains stopped there will be a harvest to hall to. Right now 2 to 3 in daylight, may get one going the right way for light? lol Train 270 on this Sunday.
