I would imagine that traffic is down somewhat, because the Huron-Chicago trains that formerly used it now operate via Winona and LaCrosse, Wis. Whether O/D traffic from the Mason City area still goes that way is something the locals will have to tell you, though.
Date: 11/09/09 20:17 Re: I.C.E. at Calmar IA Author: SOO6617 Traffic is actually decent on the Mason City Sub. With most of the Ethanol plants back online following the Verasun bankruptcy and sale, there is usually one loaded and one empty Ethanol train most days, plus a manifest each way.
