Western Railroad Discussion > Vaughn, NM today

The many times I pass through Vaughn, I am always hoping to catch a UP train running under a BNSF passing over top of the fill grade. Today, I almost got lucky. First, I was happy to actually see a UP come into Vaughn (not as prevelant as the BNSF's passing through). After a short crewchange, the UP stack with a 3x1 configeration, started under the fill to head south to ElPaso, and a BNSF vehicle train came across the fill, but a very short vehicle train. By time the UP stack came close enough to me for decent pictures, the BNSF was almost out of sight, as seen in the far right corner of the pic.
Oh well, maybe next time.
