Caught these two trains leaving SD on the 15th just after 7pm.
Shot about three blocks from where I live off of Morena Blvd.

Same freight "electromotive" caught on his dash cam 6/16...your clip was taken from a great viewing location.

I was surprised to see such a big freight train; I've always thought of that line as kind of light on freight.

The line handles the manifest trains like this one and Auto's. 2 manifests and 2 autos have been the norm on the San Diego Sub.

It was the same train. I saw his upload which inspired me to upload my video.
I've been railfanning at that location and around there for over 20 years now.

Freight Traffic is very light on the line, but the trains we see can get pretty big. BNSF tries to consolidate the local business since they have to pay to play down here.

Nice, I used to do a lot of work over at San Diego Data Processing across the tracks in the late 80s- early 90s. I also did a lot of mountian biking back in those canyons in the early 90s too. I always liked watching the trains while I worked and played in this area.

Narr8rdanny.I hear you.All i can download is about the 1st 1to 4 percent then it stops and wont continue.This has been going on for the last year and a half now and i am a little frustrated.I can't even load the railcam videos either.I hope there's a fix for it.I just don't know what to do about it.I have the highest speed internet possible and a very fast high end computor and i don't know why i can't download these things.I don't know where to post this for technical assistance.Maybe webmaster can somehow help fix this.Please help us webmaster.

BTW...nice video considering the low light available.

Looks like my old stomping grounds around Balboa Ave... Except when I lived there the only passenger trains running were the San Diegans and the trolley had just inaugurated service to San Ysidro. Of source we got to see the San Diegan turned on the wye under PCH and the SDA&E was running to Plaster City under the Kyle RR banner.
