Ryan Wilkerson Fair Oaks, CA Date: 06/19/10 15:41 Re: All those T 2s and Cruds Author: funnelfan Looks like a load box to test locomotives.

Date: 06/19/10 19:11 Re: All those T 2s and Cruds Author: SF3751 Wow I'm impressed at the number of T-2's that have shown up, upon my visit in Jan. there was nothing like that! Just full of SD40-2's, and now so many T-2's! I'm looking in the backround for the Ex-AOE/GrandLuxe cars, have they all offically been moved somewhere new to begin getting new paint (as some have posted, already having their new scheme applied to them)? Can still find some of the Ex-Ski Train cars in pic 2, looks like the dome "California" is still around.
Date: 06/19/10 21:31 Re: All those T 2s and Cruds Author: NDHolmes It's UPP 403, and yes, it's a load test rack for locomotives. The Rocky Mountain Railroad Club had a tour of Burnham on Friday morning. Thanks to our gracious hosts at UP, we got the opportunity to photograph chunks of the dead lines, including the unusual load rack car.
Somehow I doubt this is being sold. Everything in the lines that was to be sold has been blacked out, whereas the stuff that's merely stored is still in full paint but is completely intermixed. Edit: Oops, didn't see 45X's second thread with pictures. Oh well. Edited 1 time(s). Including the builder years puts things in perspective. Those SD40T-2s are 30+ years old - a decent amount of time for a diesel.
