Here are the locations of the UP Heritage locomotives. I have gathered this information through Trainorders.com, HeritageYahooGroup, and other railfan websites. This information can change without notice.
Thanks for looking. There has been some confusion on the times that are posted. The times are in military format and the letters after the times represent the time zone. P= Pacific Time Zone
M= Mountain Time Zone C= Central Time Zone ** Indicates notes for that locomotive below.

UP1982 MOPAC Last seen at Tower 209, Tx on 9/17 at 1530C. On the SEWBD-17. Heading for Bender, Tx. Only Locomotive on the Train w/ 7 Cars.

UP1983 WP Parked in Roseville, Ca. Not scheduled out at this time.

UP1988 MKT Parked in North Platte, Ne. Not scheduled out at this time.

UP1989 DRGW Last seen at Niland, Ca on 9/17 at 1400P. On the ZLCAI-17. Heading for Shreveport, La. 3rd out or on the Rear DPU.

UP1995 CNW Parked in North Platte, Ne. Not Scheduled out at this time.

UP1996 SP Called out of Council Bluffs, Ia on 9/17 at 1700C. On the SCBFR-17. Heading for Roseville, Ca. The only locomotive on the train w/3 cars.

UP4141 Bush 41 Parked and rusted to the rails at NLR Jenks Shop, Ar. Still the shop queen at Jenks, Ar.

UP2001 Olympic Last seen at Silver Zone, Nv on 8/17 at 1400P. On the MRORV-17. Heading for Roseville, Ca. Unit is on the point.

UP2002 Olympic Last seen at Marshalltown, Ia on 9/17 at 1600C. On the MELNP-16. Heading for North Platte, Ne. 3rd out in the consist.

UP2010 Boy Scout Parked in North Platte, Ne. Not scheduled out at this time.

UP7400 ??????? Parked in Kansas City, Mo. Scheduled out on the MKCCB-18 on 9/18 at 1700C. Scheduled to be 2nd out in the consist.

UP3300 United Way Parked in Denver, Co. Being stored in Denver, Co Unit is not going to be sold.

UP8444 UP Parked in Pendleton, Or. Not scheduled out at this time. With the UP844 Steam Train.

UP951 E Unit Parked in North Platte, Ne. Not scheduled out at this time.

UP949 E Unit Parked in North Platte, Ne. Not scheduled out at this time.

UPB963 B Unit Parked in Cheyenne, Wy Not scheduled out at this time.

UP6936 DD40X Parked in North Platte, Ne. Not scheduled out at this time.

*** Heritage Locomotive Events ***

Please read! There has been some confusion on the dates that I have listed for the events pertaining to the heritage locomotives. The dates that I have posted from info that I have received might be the actual
date of the event or the date when the "UP" plans on having the locomotive arrive at that particular location. If anyone has specific info to share on the event in question I would greatly appreciate them posting
that information so we can now exactly what the dates and times are. Thanks for looking.
Some events that are being put on by the Union Pacific Railroad can be changed, or canceled for no reason what so ever. So please keep this mind when planning for any of these events.

UP1983 WP In Roseville, Ca for Operation Lifesaver Train.
UP1988 MKT Is going to Relco in Albia, Ia via Kansas City, Mo for paint work to be done.
UP1989 DRGW Will be in Kansas City, Ks for Family Days 10/07 thru 10/09.
UP1995 CNW In North Platte, Ne for Railfest 9/17-9/19
UP1996 SP To be routed to Council Bluffs, Ia to pull Roseville Operation Lifesaver Train.
UP4141 BUSH41 No events scheduled at this time.
UP2001 OLYMPIC No events scheduled at this time.
UP2002 OLYMPIC In Fuel testing from Proviso to Des Moines, Council Bluffs, or South St Paul.

And UP 7400? What the heck is that and why could be the next heritage unit? What's left?

I am just tracking it. Its all wraped up like the UP2010 BSA unit was and its heading for Council Bluffs, Ia. We will have to wait and see.

Cotton Belt unit, perhaps? Next year SSW would have been 120 years old.

Why should it be repainted? That's a one of a kind paint job.

UP 1996 rolled through Maxwell, NE at 12:08 AM and is in North Platte right now. Anyone have an update on 2002 I would love to catch it in North Plate.
