SP still flying along the D&RGW
Author: eatontm

Slim pickings for variety these days along the old D&RGW so this is about as good as luck can be I suppose. CGFSV9 empties to Savage, UT was a really nice surprise with 2 lone patched SP AC4400's. That bright yellow frame stripe on the leader looks a lot better in black and white! Pretty nostalgic for this power ruled our coal trains 15 years earlier, I'm sure even these patch guys will be but a memory in not too long. Colorado River east of Burns, CO. 9.22.10

We have seen a couple Pure SP AC44s over in Grand Junction in the past month, one about a week ago. But hey, don't ask me the numbers~!~ In fact, we shot one of them at Dotsero!

Great shot T. I think I need to head for the mountains this weekend to shoot some fall colors...
