LS:

There are three of them still intact, but they are no longer on BCR.

681 is now owned by Omnitrak and is assigned to the Carelton Trail Railway working (along with former BCR M420W 643) out of Prince Albert Sask. You can see a few shots of it at Warren Hinze's site http://www.angelfire.com/mi/warrenhiltz/

683 and 685 are also owned by Omnitrak and are assigned to the Hudson Bay Railway. There is a shot of 683 at Rolf Stumpf's Wonderful Alco world site. http://alcoworld.railfan.net/homepage.htm

The other 5 were wrecked (3 in one smash up and 2 in another). The 688 will live on sort of - it was purchased by Doyle McCormack and he'll used the 12-251C prime mover in the PA he is rebuilding for excursion service.

There are 4 M420W's left on BCR (641, 644, 646, 647) and they are all stored at this time.

Hope this helps.
