Western Railroad Discussion > Train Identfication Information questionDate: 12/27/10 11:39 Train Identfication Information question Author: traingeek087 Hello, I have some questions about train identification. I'll use an example to get to the point.
Example: Union Pacific 1995 (CNW unit) departed Nplaeast December 27th at 7:23am on train "QNPSKP 27" I know that NP is North Platte, but No idea what the rest of the letters are in that scramble. I assume 27 is the train number, but what is SKP? Q? Is there a website I can find this information, and what direction the train is moving? BTW, The example is a true scenario. Thanks, Traingeek087 Date: 12/27/10 11:46 Re: Train Identfication Information question Author: MrMRL From one of my now aging Altamont Timetables...
Q - Quality Manifest NP - (from) North Platte, NE SK - (to) Selkirk, NY <-thanks toledopatch... P - Perishables 27 - (departure) 27th of the month Mr. MRL Edited 1 time(s). The Sonrisa Maps are also highly recommended. I have bought many timetables and maps here and Dave has always shipped them out promptly. traingeek087 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Excellent!
