Western Railroad Discussion > Really cool depotDate: 02/01/01 12:22 Really cool depot Author: WrongWayMurphy This depot is in Corsicana, TX and is
used by BNSF. It was built by the shared Burlington-Rock Island who jointly owned the line, originally built by the Trinity and Brazos Valley RR. I think this is a neat depot that I thought y'all might like to see. There is another like it in Waxahachie, TX. Date: 02/01/01 12:23 other side view Author: WrongWayMurphy Here is the back side

Date: 02/01/01 14:48 RE: Really cool depot Author: dash-9 For as old as this depot is, it looks good. A little tender loving care and she would be great. This would be a fun restoration job.
It would be great to see this depot back in pristine condition. Doug Date: 02/02/01 09:07 RE: Really cool depot Author: stivmac Maybe PBS could run a series: "This Old Depot," where Norm and the gang go around restoring old RR buildings! They can start w/Monrovia CA. That poor old depot now has plastic wrap around it, trying vainly to keep it in one piece. Some #$%%$ vandel tore off some of the scrollwork over the platform entrance, probably to decorate some yuppie scum's mini mansion. I hope his death is a particularly painful one!
