Grain and BN/BNSF/ATSF go hand in hand

Along BNSF's ex BN/ATSF line , the "Boise City Sub" ,at least they do.Here's a shot of BNSF SD40-2 1636 still in ATSF paint sitting with the local freight along this line at Kerrick Texas early on Feb 22 2011. The state line with Oklahoma is within 1/4 of a mile on this units front door. Those elevators still see some loads originating here, but none on this day. Long live the Blue & Yellow. TFL Ben
