UP 8226 with gray trucks

This is the first UP engine in many years that I have seen with gray trucks. The 8226 was by Mojave on Friday with empty autos.

They all have grey trucks, that's just a lighter shade of grey. Now if they would only go back to silver trucks!

They all had Harbormist (light) Gray trucks from the factory. These EMDs have 15+ years of grime covering the original light gray paint.

I think the new shade of gray means these trucks have been rebuilt by an outside contractor.

I'd say wreck repair paint. The pilot and stairwell have the same light gray paint, and the fuel tank has been cleaned up.

All the SD90/43's are cycling through MPI in Nampa, ID for steering link removal and truck painting just like the project for the 70M's
