Thanks for this info. I had wondered if BNSF was ever using their trackage rights on the Baird sub anymore. Well, I got my answer Saturday. In Strawn Tx a eastbound BNSF manifest was in the siding at 12:45PM. Much to my surprise over 3 hours later it was still there. And, the crew was gone. Guess they hog-lawed and were picked up with no replacement. Don't know how long it sat there.

Do you have any figures for the Baird sub?

I know this is not in the league of the locations noted, but does anyone have a range/average of trains thru Eastport, Idaho?

I have yesterdays for both Pecos and Sweetwater. But to answer your question I was told BNSF "usually" runs 1-2 trains per day each way between Ft. Worth and Sweetwater. There were 22 trains through Sweetwater yesterday and 19 through Pecos, so maybe that BNSF figure is correct. That 19 trains through Pecos yesterday is close to a record, so I hear. None were detours that I know of...

Allen at least two UP trains that come thru Sweetwater do not go thru Pecos. They are MFW-OD and MOD-FW. You can always tell which these are by the Sid Richardson carbon black cars and the acid tank cars that go to Odessa for a local going west for a few miles.

Thanks for the info.
