Sorry I missed it
Author: glcaddis

As I was driving back into town this morning around 11 AM, I spotted the last two cars of U.P. special train heading south. It paused in the Bloomington, IL yard long enough to meet Amtrak 22 and then headed on south. By the time I got home, grabbed my camera, and started the chase it was long gone, I picked the voice detector at 133.8 and it said the speed was 74 MPH, so I gave up the chase as I was at least five miles behind it. The quick glance I got of it in the yard looked like about eight or nine cars and two or three units on the point. Anyone get any photos of this train? I assume U.P. management was inspecting the trackwork recently completed.

As i have always said when you come across something like these spur of the moment things it is best to keep a camera handy in your glovebox. That way you shouldn't miss a thing.
