Western Railroad Discussion > 664 Meeting The Harbor Turn At BeburgDate: 09/29/11 16:11 664 Meeting The Harbor Turn At Beburg Author: viewrail Between the busy morning and evening commute periods is a good time for P&W to operate freight service in the Beaverton to Wilsonville corridor. Today was a little unusual with a daylight meet occurring at Beburg. First photo is 664 pulling in on Main 2 and, after a short wait, the Harbor Turn passes by on Main 1 (photo 2). In the final photo, the power for 664 has uncoupled and is now running around the train (95 cars) in order to head back to Tigard and eventually on up to Vancouver via the Willsburg District. - Scott

Any idea where the chip loads on the Harbor Turn are going to/coming from? Maybe going to Toledo? Coming from? Looks like lots of grain on 664. Looks like an ADM car in the foreground. Again, any idea where coming from/going to? Thanks in advance, Rob L. Date: 09/29/11 16:53 Re: 664 Meeting The Harbor Turn At Beburg Author: PasadenaSub Nice to see real SD45's out and about. Are these the same rails that the WES commuter service uses?

It looks a lot different now than it did 40 years ago. Here's 3 from Beburg 40 (+) years ago. They were taken down by where the signals are. 1. Semaphores at Beburg - looking south. Scott took his pictures from the Allen Blvd. overpass(wasn't built yet) about 1/2 mile down the tracks in this photo from 1970. 2. SP Tillamook Hauler headed toward Brooklyn. 1971 3. BN train headed for Albany getting on the SP at Beburg 1971 Nomosantafe Fort Worth, Texas "Where the West Begins" Edited 2 time(s). I need to poke around there more as I am still confused on how all this comes together up there and whats what. Urban sprawl makes it hard. I need a map
