Western Railroad Discussion > In response to a question....Date: 10/21/11 17:29 In response to a question.... Author: Super_C posed a few days ago in the thread: http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,2593066 that was,
"I know this is a long shot, but anyone know the trucking company for trailer #13? All white trailer with small red logo, possibly in the shape of two letters for the company name. Seen these on BNSF and UP for a few years, but it keeps escaping me." by Fizzboy7. I can not identify the trucking company, but I thought if I posted a full size image of the trailer, somebody might have an answer. It would appear that the word "Trans" is in front of the red logo on the trailer. I also noted that the same logo seems to appear on the following trailer that is not white. Also, the word "West" appears to the right of the logo. I am as curious Fizzboy7. Anybody out there trailer-land have an answer? JCL Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/21/11 17:30 by Super_C. Date: 10/21/11 19:38 Re: In response to a question.... Author: Ray_Murphy So what kind of trailers are these, with their large underbody tanks and what look like pretty substantial cooling units?
Ray Date: 10/21/11 19:42 Re: In response to a question.... Author: Fizzboy7 Looks like it was just a matter of time before they starting placing ads on the side skirts.
Thanks to all for nailing the trailer names. TW has some fancy stuff going on there. Date: 10/21/11 20:33 Re: In response to a question.... Author: PHall Ray_Murphy Wrote:

They're reefer trailers. Date: 10/21/11 20:47 Re: In response to a question.... Author: Boomer TransWest has been running trailers on the BNSF for quite a few years now, but I haven't heard of them using the UP at all, which I guess is no big surprise. Seem to be a lot of small to mid-sized truck lines out there that have little or nothing to do with the UP...wonder why that is?

wheels are not parallel to the tracks. They sort of look crosswise. Am I seeing things? Sid. Date: 10/21/11 21:34 Re: In response to a question.... Author: Fizzboy7 Are those liftrails on the Marten trailer? Or something for structural support?

If you zoom in on one of those cars the trailer wheels seem to be at an angle to the car too. Date: 10/23/11 01:06 Re: In response to a question.... Author: Fizzboy7 Here's a recent video of the trailer company I was questioning. Two can be seen at 4:49. They have a red rectangular box logo with white letters inside. Any ideas?
