There is a northbound up the coast (UP 4383) with 58 empty box cars
from Sudden to Tracy. Anybody know the significance of all these
cars (I guess stored)coming from there and terminating at Tracy?

Train passed by Devon at 18:24 HRS. New crew on duty at 20:00,
scheduled to set out at Tracy 12:02 tomorrow.

I always watch the number of cars at Sharpe Army Depot in Lathrop for a read on world events.
When military builup is going on ... lots of available cars as was seen prior to
Iraq and Afganistan. Might cars be going there for an Iran preview ? I hope not !

Yes, the cars had been stored on the siding at Sudden.

Could be going to Tracy to be serviced to return to revenue service. Harbor rail service works on 2 tracks on the backside of the Tracy yard cleaning out and repairing boxcars and autoracks.
