One Sweet Soo Saturday Morning!

I really can't explain it, maybe the stars have aligned, or the solar flare, but when it rains, it pours and in this case, it poured Soo SD60s! A tip from a friend in the Twin Cities sent me to Bangor for CP train #282 with four of the big EMDs lead by the Soo Line #6031. Right on his heels was CP train #668 running with the solo Soo Line #6053. You want some more?

This morning's ICE #170 had yet another pair of Soo Line SD60s lead by another Candy Apple Red #6057. The first image was taken at Donehower MN as the train swings thru the "S" curve and the second is just south of La Crescent MN. I wish there was a way to incorporate the letters "GE" into Burlington Northern Santa Fe because it seems that is all we see here in La Crosse these days. BNSF #5675 leads a baretable type train onto the start of double track at CP GRAF.

Amtrak's Empire Builder was about an hour down as it scooted across French Island and into La Crosse behind a clean #47. CP train #580 was up next with a nice GP38-3 #4522 leading the show. Thanks for riding along!

"SOO sweet" !! Too bad the SOO new red engines with the "swoosh" and "racing" stripes aren't around as much since their merger with CP.

Real nice, Jim! I see 484 leaving Saint Paul now with SOO 6059 leading.
