Western Railroad Discussion > Cryo Trans reefer names?

Sure this was asked before.. sorry for missing it. Where did Cryo Trans come up with the names on reefer's doors?

CRYO-TRANS allows the shippers/receivers to
name the cars. Usually they pick a favorite lake,
river or location. Example = Chicago.

Alas, my three are in leased service up in the PNW and will probably not get down here to the sleepy coastline. They are 5288 Castroville, 5289 Prunedale and 5290 Point Lobos.

All Con Agra cars.

Mine are Proviso (3099), Northlake (3146), and Elmhurst (3147). Someone beat me to Lombard (2039--which was retired and its name given to a newer car, 4039). I don't know where any of them are; they all still exist.
