KABC has announced it's at 200 acres now.

Caltrans has it I-15 at I-215 webcam streaming video.

Just north of Kenwood on I-15. Jusmped the freeway to the west, nothing to burn there. Looks like it's a done deal.

ABC Channel 7 reports...
"Several miles of Interstate 15 were shut down. The 215 North was also closed at the Palm/Kendall exit, and Cajon Boulevard is closed between Kenwood and Cleghorn. BNSF have stopped trains in the area."

Two westbound double stacks stopped on Main 2 and Main 3 at Cajon awaiting permission to proceed when the fire crews give the all clear.

Put up a pretty good smoke cloud all the way to Corona!

There was never any threat to the railroad.
USFS tanker 41 was used on this fire--first we've seen in the LA area. It's an ex-United BAe146 "whisperjet."
Fire jumped I-15 just north of Kenwood and was spotting, driven by strong winds, which abruptly stopped. USFS and CalFire did a nice job holding the fire once winds died. USFS crews on this flank were off the Modoc National Forest, from Alturas.

Nice areal footage from ABC 7 shows a Westbound sitting at CP Cajon, a few miles East of the fire.
