Respectable train to El Segundo

The El Segundo job just went by and was 36 cars, normal is 12 or less as of late.

The train just went by on its return to Watson with 14 loads.

That's pretty late for the BNSF 711 Job - They usually are around Wise sometime between 11 and 1.

BTW, since the middle of the Harbor Sub is now officially abandoned, there are missing rails just south of Imperial Hwy. Amazing, since only a few months ago they rebuilt the crossing at Imperial with concrete panels. Someone didn't plan that one out very well.

My guess is the crossing upgrade was paid for with government money. Those projects take years to line up, so the funding was probably set long ago.

I suppose that depends on how Proposition J on today's ballot goes. If it goes up, sometime in the next 10 years, more or less. If it goes down, sometime in the next 30. At least that's how my meager mind figured it out.
