Photobombed by a Flock of Seagulls
Author: GrandeGold

A flock of seagulls flew into my carefully composed photo of BNSF's Provo-Stockton trackage rights train departing Salt Lake City this afternoon.

After the train had passed, they mingled about along Orange Street with an 'I didn't do it' look about them.

What do you think . . . does the first photo benefit from the wayward winged wildlife?

I Think the FAA might want to conduct a sobriety check on those pilots. The formation is not tight and I wonder whether or not SLC Twr has given them authorization to occupy the airspace they are in. But nice shots. Is that a ground camouflage I see there on the ground which was deposited in order to cover the flight from any images from satellites? Call out the Big Guns. Thanks for sharing. Ben

They filled the empty space in your frame and made it a lot more interesting shot.

I'm surprised they stuck around - I would have expected them to run, run so far a-wa-a-ay. ;^)

I like the picture with the gulls, though if you hadn't given the backstory, I would probably have been squinting at it looking for Photoshop artifacts.

So... Are they GE fans, or just daisy-pickers? ;^)

Incredible stuff!!!

Damn daisy picker seagulls. Made for a very unique railfan photo, James.

Me too, in that it is to my eye unusual, since I associate gulls with warm & sunny instead of snow.

The 70s and the 80s? I've looked into it.

There's a gas shortage and A Flock of Seagulls.

That's about it.

Those are Snow Gulls. San Francisco winters aren't cold enough for them!
