Opening Day fun

Opening day on the Santa Cruz branch was a real hoot yesterday. We started in Watsonville, chased the train north and rode the 2 p.m. departure. They had a few kinks, but it was a super fun day.

Here are a few random shots.

1> The train "cutting" the ribbon in Aptos.

2> Along the water between Aptos and Capitola.

3> Here's the 6 p.m. passenger trip returning to Santa Cruz.

Just great to see trains rolling again on this branch!! Now if only Monterey would take a lesson...
