DMVW is Rockin the Bakken Too
Author: kodachrome9319

I met up with the only railfan I know in Minot, ND besides myself to do a little shortline action near the border of North Dakota and Canada. We started out on the Northern Plains Railroad just to find them running light power, so I made a phone call to the friendly folks at the Dakota, Missouri Valley and Western and found out a loaded oil train was nearing Flaxton. We took off and found them just West of town with two ex-Alstom's and a GP40-2W in the middle. They brought the train to Flaxton and tied it down for CP to take it.

The snow looks like it's -30, but it was really in the 50's!

It's not an accusation if someone says your second shot was rigged. :-) Love that shot.
