Western Railroad Discussion > Along the SI

Another trip west and the chance to add some new locations along the SI in North Idaho.

First is the UP 8282 North with what might be an empty grain (lots of DME hoppers in the consist) at McGuire Road. Five units is not a common consist on this line. Pretty dismal sun conditions but a nice sky so I went B&W to save the image.

Farther east at MP 29 I catch the southbound daily freight (CPHK) with a nice tree lined background. The sun popped out while these two trains were meeting at Clagstone which seems a popular meeting location.

Al we need to get together some weekend to shoot the north end of the SI. Bring along the newbie MRL engineer so he can wave to all his old pals. ;^P

We may have to set something up, I really need to explore Athol to Sandpoint and Bonners north to the border.

That new guy probably can't lay off especially on the weekends.
