BNSF's Holiday Express
Author: BNSFDS

BNSF sent it business train to Fort Worth for the 2012 Holiday Express. One trip was run today and the other will be on Friday. Both will leave out of the Fort Worth Stockyards and head south on the Fort Worth and Western towards Cresson.

Both departures are around 5 p.m. which means most of the trip will be in darkness but I was able to catch the special's transfer from Saginaw to the Stockyards on Thursday afternoon.

1. Banner on the side of a former Chicago commuter car on BNSF's Holiday Express at Fort Worth, TX.

2. BNSF ES44C4 No. 6753 leads the Holiday Express down the hill out of the yard at Saginaw, TX.

3. BNSF 6753 leads the Holiday Express through the transfer track onto the Fort Worth and Western
main line at Tower 60 in Fort Worth, TX.

4. BNSF 6753 backs the Holiday Express past a restored ranch house at windmill at the park near the
Stockyards at Fort Worth, TX.

5. BNSF 6753 spots the Holiday Express in the Stockyards for loading at Fort Worth, TX.

If only they'd made the backup move 45 minutes earlier I would've gotten the entire bridge at the Stockyards in full sun. Oh well.

Enjoy

Ahh... not Chicago, but Bay Area. Those BNSF Bi-levels are all ex-SP commuter cars, and came via Transisco Tours.
