Red-striped UP 9823 on the Austin Sub
Author: PALuvR

I ventured out for a short while this morning. In the siding at Bergstrom was a NB rock train with three ex-CNW C44-9W's. Trailing unit UP 9823 still has red sill stripes.

Mike

1. Heavy NB rock train as evidenced by having three big GE's up front in the siding at Bergstrom. Power is UP 9782 (ex-CNW 8678), UP 9748 (ex-CNW 8644) and UP 9823 (ex-CNW 8719).
2. As close as I get for the 9823.

3. Amtrak 22 coming around
4. Followed by solid set of tank cars (empty ethanol?) with UP 7862 and UP 8544.
5. UP 7862 looking good going away

7862 was on the UEADEB-01 (Unit train-San Antonio/E. Yard-Emmetsburg, IA) empty ethanol train
