The KCS Holiday express was in Ashdown, Arkansas on Tuesday.

I was unable to get any info on the move from Shreveport to Ashdown, so

I went to Texarkana and then south. The train had already gotten to Texarkana by the time I got over there (3 hour drive from Ft. Worth) so i explored a bit into east Texas and NW Louisiana.

When you look carefully at the nose of KCS 1 it's really quite remarkable what they've done...chromed grab rails, wipers and mirrors plus the way they did the ditch lights. Very classy!
