Western Railroad Discussion > Another Friendly WaveDate: 12/06/12 18:04 Another Friendly Wave Author: BNSF-6432 I believe "westernking" had made a post a while back regaurding waves, and that some aren't captured so often. But I was able to catch one recently, with a little effort from this engineer leaving Tulsa, OK on the Cherokee Sub. as he stepped out onto the catwalk to be seen.
Had taken the second photo at the time and didn't notice till i looked at the picture afterwards BNSF-6432 PQM Date: 12/06/12 20:48 Re: Another Friendly Wave Author: jeff163 Date: 12/06/12 21:44 Re: Another Friendly Wave Author: Boiserailfan I love when crews wave back.

Pump Date: 12/07/12 08:19 Re: Another Friendly Wave Author: ButteStBrakeman Here are a couple of re-posts from Jan. and June. of 2007. In one is my buddy Danny, an engineer out of SLO. I was on a westbound and met Danny at Conception when he came out the door and I got a pretty good photo of him. The other one is of Brian, Don and Captain Kirk. Don and Brian are waving, and Kirk can just barely be seen in the window. He was Brian's pilot on this trip.

The picture turned out like crap but you get the idea.

Neat photo. It would be nice to ask if the engineer would like a photo mailed. Then try to get an address before leaving. That would be good P.R. from the railfan community. --Jim baker Date: 12/07/12 13:28 Re: Another Friendly Wave Author: SOB The absolute last time I waved at anyone from the engine was going past the elementary school near 103rd Street and San Pedro Avenue in Watts, little girl waved at me and I opened the window to wave back and was hit by a 2 pound piece of concrete thrown by a teenager hiding behind a dumpster. Lesson learned.
