Western Railroad Discussion > Tehachapi Loop - Before RustyDate: 12/09/12 10:10 Tehachapi Loop - Before Rusty Author: Norris Pictures 1 and 2: On November 9,1980 I climbed to the top of the signal bridge and caught this southbound. The engineer actually waved at me. A few minutes later the locomotives were on top of the loop as the helpers emerged from the tunnel. Although it wasn't legal there was really no one around that stopped you. Those were the days!!!

I wouldn't blame it all on Rusty, although he makes a great scapegoat. He's just a product of the neurotic society we have become.

railfan. It was a long-gone different era. Long Bell Bob Bob Bassett Missoula, Mt Date: 12/10/12 15:25 Re: Tehachapi Loop - Before Rusty Author: OakMole |
