Western Railroad Discussion > Santa Cruz Christmas train questionsDate: 12/12/12 20:34 Santa Cruz Christmas train questions Author: SCUfoamer Hello fellow Norcal rail fans,
I am planning on conducting a chase of the Iowa Pacific Christmas Train in Santa Cruz in the next week or two. I am just trying to gather a little more into on where and when the train moves. I would Like to catch it out of Watsonville...(if that is where they keep it over the week?) And I would also like to know if it travels north from the boardwalk or south? or a little bit of both. Any information would be helpful. Thanks, Andrew Date: 12/12/12 20:46 Re: Santa Cruz Christmas train questions Author: CarolVoss I doesn't operate out of Watsonville because the track between there and Santa Cruz is in bad shape for px travel. It operates from the Santa Cruz boardwalk to the Wilder Ranch north on the Davenport branch and back. A very short ride.
