Northern Arizona - Winter Has Arrived

We received a fair amount of snow in and around Williams, AZ (30 miles west of Flagstaff).

I took a quick drive up to Williams Jct and snapped a couple east bounds.

Winter has definitely arrived.

Coal is obviously down in the second shot with an ES44AC leading.
More and more on the BNSF, coal power is leaking out onto the
intermodal and merchandise lanes.

Some great winter shots, love the look of snow. I find it ironic though that AZ is getting snow and so much of the country is getting rain....

Arizona avg Snowfall is 8' in the Flagstaff, Williams area. with some years seeing more (68) and some years Less!

Flagstaff is often on top of the snowiest cities in the lower 48. Gets double the annual snowfall of the Denver metro area.
