A day on the BNSF Galveston Sub (North End)
Author: PALuvR

I had planned a day on the BNSF Galveston Sub between Temple and Brenham. After watching a couple of NB trains enter to Fuel Facility in too-early-to-shoot light, I noticed on ATCS that "Track Occupancy" in Cameron had remained unchanged for a while. Also there were no other NB on the screen all the way down to Brenham. ?????????? for a pretty busy rail line. Thought I would head that way and see what was going on.

First I found the signal at CP 2080 needed a head adjustment. Then I found out what was going on in Cameron.

Then I headed on down to Caldwell and thought I might catch something on the UP Giddings Sub since the BNSF was dead. Struck out on that endeavor also. Two BNSF trains did come through during the 6-7 hours I was there but no images.

The day did end on a pretty good note in Somerville.

Mike

1. Surprised to see the red signals facing the highway
2-3. Destruction being wrought on the main in Cameron
