"The Road to Winterail" (starring Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, and Dorothy Lamour (?) ) Oh, I can just see it now. Someone should produce this for next year, because the movies of that era had a lot of cool old train shots in the background. JMHO! And BTW, very nice shot!

No, but I went incognito. I wore my R. Hunn disguise and they only wanted to search me two times at the door... :-)

For southern California that's not too bad. I think by the end of the day, there was 8+ inches on the ground in downtown Tehachapi. On Sunday, you never would have known the white stuff ever happened, except on the tops of the hills. Of course, in the higher elevations they accumulate quite a bit more. But, I appreciate your comparison to other more snow prone regions.

I don't know about Saturday, but it was gone on Sunday. Another sad fact, these classic search light signals will also be gone, very soon. The newer tri-color light signals are installed (relocated based on longer block distances) but not operational...YET. Sign of the times!
