Locomotive shop accident in Fort Worth?
Author: JoCoLB

Does anyone have any information regarding a new BNSF locomotive (7109)accidentally plunging through the wall of a new shop in North Fort Worth, TX? I'm trying to verify and/or validate some information that was passed along to me early today in a round-about way. Hope it isn't a hoax or it was something I have missed in recent days or weeks on TO.

Looks like the hostler forgot to stop

Or forgot to set the handbrake!!

I imagine the trucks were cut out. This is common in shop areas. A good idea to do a set and release before you move equipment.

Ah, I see BNSF is keeping up with the ATSF tradition! If only that motor was silver and red.

It was a new locomotive coming off the assembly line at the GE manufacturing plant, not a BNSF shop. See next post.
