I guess when approx 19% of the voters get off their arses to vote, no one really cares what goes on in their city anyway, so there should be no bitching when things don't go their way. I'm glad I don't live in LA.

It's finally been decided--for what it's worth, Eric Garcetti will be the next mayor of LA. What this means for those of us in the San Gabriel Valley is that we will no longer have our TV shows cluttered up with ads for people we can't even vote for.

Had the same problem down here, and I agree nothing will get done because they're just in it for themselves. I didn't like Antonio V. but he did do a lot for transportation which I support.

Mayor Villaraigoso was mentioned from time to time as a potential transportation or commerce secretary in the second Obama administration.
