We all must agree that most of the Class one railroad's motive power has become, say boring perhaps? It's nice to see and photograph something different than the endless stream of BNSF GEVOs! Monday gave me two different Vehicle trains with unique power. CSXT 7555 along with another C40-8 lead the first train into La Crosse, BNSF train V-BLUPTL (Blue Island - Portland). A short time later, BNSF train V-NTWNSC (Northtown - NS Connection/Chicago) rolled by with bigger surprise, the NS 6548! Ex-UP, nee ex-CNW no less! Nice indeed!

I was over at Galesburg, IL this morning and heard that NS 6548 talking to a foreman on the transcon going east toward Chicago, figured it was just another black NS SD60..... oops, wrong on my part, oh well now...
