Rather odd crossbuck location

Anyone care to guess where it is, and what was I driving to get to the location?

Riding a jet ski, life jacket in the rear view
mirrors, but the location unknown!!

Yesterday's grade crossing protection, today's lawn ornament. There used to be three or four houses here in the northern San Gabriel Valley (Pasadena-Monrovia-Rosemead area) with switch stands in the front yard, usually with the house number painted on the target.

As low as that lake water is, it is in Texas.

TomSTP is correct, Lake Tyler and yes I am on a Bombardier Jet Ski

The lake is low, I cannot get the pontoon boat off the lift as of this past weekend,
so the Jet Skis are the only means left of conveyance across the lake
